Recently, there has been a lot of talk about compression socks and tights. I looked up an article that was not written by one of the companies manufacturing compression items and found this: http://ingoodhealthfdl.agnesian.com/2013/06/26/benefits-of-wearing-compression-stockings/.
In synopsis, it says that it’s great for heart health, knee support, and shin splints. Because I often twisted my knees as a child, I got a pair of thigh socks and have been wearing them under my yoga pants today.
First, I am pleased to report that I don’t have thick thighs. I ordered a large so that both my husband and I could use them. From my point of view looking down on my thighs, I feel I have larger than normal ones and thought the large would be fine. I was wrong. Yipee! The large size slides down after some time of walking around which makes me realize that I could use the medium. Lesson learned…when buying compression items, buy the correct size.
For the time that I was wearing them, I did feel like I was doing something great for my heart health. It makes me feel like my veins and arteries are supported and things are working better together.
